International Programs
Thousands of international patients each year visit the Texas Medical Center for patient care services, recognizing that the quality of the care for the scope of the health services collectively provided are unsurpassed anywhere in the world.
The various member institutions in the Texas Medical Center provide services throughout the world as part of their collective missions. In fact, there are well over 200 separate and distinct international programs focused on patient care, education and research.
Whether it is working with a foreign health ministry and a university to help establish a new medical school, assist in providing care to underserved populations, teaching international students or hosting visiting professors, consulting on the development of hospitals, creating joint education and research programs, or providing innovative telemedicine technology to give international communities access to the brightest minds in medicine, these organizations all focus on developing initiatives that will make a material difference in the quality of life of their respective international partners.
